Send cdkey later after purchase in PrestShop

Some questions here. Many times we don’t buy licenses until the customer buy one, because is an unnecessary risk, and for us, buy one to the manufacturer is instantly, but it can take one hour or less.

Can the customer buy the license and after that, i add the cd key so his panel. For example customer buy one, system show in his panel “generating code” and after minutes, i replace the “generating code” message with the final cdkey after i’ve purchased his license.

I confirm that it is possible, it requires some know-how ;)
You can just upload cdekys "generating code" to your product - so each time someone will purchase a cdkey - the shop will show to customer 'generating cdkey' as a code.
Then - you will be able to purchase a license and replace 'generating cdkey' with license code and send email to customer - both things you can do directly from configuration of the module

so, step by step description of how it works is:
- you create a group of cdkeys with name - for example: "license for windows"
- you upload cdkeys to this group of keys where the license code is just "generating code"

then:
- customer places an order for 'license for windows'
- customer get an email with information 'generating code'
- customer see this 'generating code' also in his account

then you as an admin of the shop:
- purchase a license
- go to shop back office to section cdkeys > used cdkeys
- you replace the 'generationg code' with purchased license code
- you press 'send email' and module will send code to customer


it does the job - exactly as you expect, i think :)
