Q&A: Cant install module, class FrontController is already overriden

Hello, i tried to install your seo redirect module on our website, but when i do that we get this error:

Kan ikke installere, springer over The method init in the class FrontController is already overridden by the module lgseoredirect version 1.1.3 at 2015-11-27 16:14:52 . We already have this seo module installed, but the reason why i bought yours is because yours allow to redirect disabled products.. 

What to do?

Hello

Both modules uses the same file to create redirections. In prestashop two modules can't apply the same overrides. This is why you see this message.

There are two possiblities

1. If you still want to use lgseoredirect module  - it will be necessary combine two overrides (manually combine lgseoredirect override with mine override). It requires some technical skills, so if you dont know how to do this - i can do it for free as a part of module support.
2. if you dont want to use lgseoredirect module - just uninstall it and clear shop cache. Uninstallation of the module will remove all overrides that this module applied to your store.  And then just try to install mine module (it should be possible now).
